Five nuns lost the trail in a nature reserve in Susiec municipality (Lubelskie province). When they realised that they won't be able to find the way back, they called the police.
The police received a call on Monday evening, around 8 p.m. Asking for help were five nuns who got lost on a forest hiking trail in Szumy nad Tanwią nature reserve.
"At first they tried to find the way that would lead them back to a forest parking in Huta Szumy, where they had left their car. The situation started to get serious as the night was falling," said Małgorzata Pawłowska from Tomaszów Lubelski police station.
Nuns were escorted back to the parking lot
The search took about one hour.
"Thanks to a swift search mission and Susiec police officers' knowledge of the area, the nuns were found and safely escorted to the forest parking lot," Pawłowska added.
