Second time unlucky. A 60-year-old stole a pair of shoes from a store in Nowa Sól (Lubusz Voivodeship). However, acting in a rush, he picked a too big size. He then decided to return to the store wearing the stolen shoes and hoping to secretly "exchange" them. That's when he got busted.
A 60-year-old man was detained in Nowa Sól for trying to steal a pair of shoes from a local store. It turned out he came to the store wearing a pair he had stolen a week before. Why did he decide to return? "The shoes were too big for him," said Justyna Sęczkowska from Nowa Sól Police.
The man found the right-sized shoes. He wanted to leave the pair stolen earlier and walk out in the new one, again without paying of course. His plan failed, as this time he was caught by the store staff.
The 60-year-old has been charged with larceny and pleaded guilty. The resident of Nowa Sól will face the court for his wrongdoing.
