Consultations are underway, regarding the final standpoint that Poland will present during the Court of Justice of the European Union's (ECJ) session, but I think that we will meet ECJ's expectations, Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jacek Czaputowicz said on Wednesday.
Earlier that day, the Deputy PM and Minister of Science and Higher Educuation, Jarosław Gowin spoke in TVN24 of the need to find some solution of the dispute regarding the judicial system. He added, it is very likely that by 19 November, there will appear a draft amendment to the Supreme Court law.
Foreign minister, asked by the journalists in the Sejm if the works on the amendment to the Supreme Court law are ongoing, replied: "I'm sure that both the government and the parliament are thinking about the ways to meet the European Commission's expectations regarding this issue".
Journalists asked Mr Czaputowicz to reveal any details of the standpoint that Poland is going to present before the ECJ and he said that the consultations regarding the final version are still underway. "I think that there will be a certain attempt to meet the ECJ's expectations in that regard. It is a complicated matter, it requires amending the law, so some solution will be chosen, but such a solution that would face up the expectations, I think," Czaputowicz underscored.
