On September 1, during observances of the 80th anniversary of the WWII outbreak, at the Piłsudski Square in Warsaw, three presidents will give speeches: Poland's Andrzej Duda, Germany's Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the United States' Donald Trump - the chief of the President's Chancellery, Krzysztof Szczerski, informed on Sunday.

At a press briefing, Szczerski said the central, international commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the World War Two outbreak will take place in Warsaw. The ceremony is set to begin at 12 pm at the Piłsudski Square.

"We're expecting 40 foreign delegations, that is around 250 guests from all over the world, including presidents, prime ministers, parliament speakers, foreign ministers, defense ministers, as well as special envoys representing European royal families. They will all be hosted by the president during the commemorations, right here, in Warsaw," Szczerski said.

The presidential aide also announced that Polish, German and American presidents would give speeches at the Piłsudski Square on Sunday, September 1.

Trump's visit

Szczerski also said that the US President Donald Trump will arrive in Warsaw in the evening on August 31, and leave the city early afternoon on September 2.

Szczerski said that on September 2, within the framework of bilateral talks, Donald Trump will visit the Presidential Palace and speak face-to-face with the Polish head of state, and plenary talks between both delegations will also be held. President Duda will also host a lunch for the American delegation.

After the lunch, both presidents will meet with the press - said the head of Polish president's office. He also said that after meeting President Duda, President Trump will also speak with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and government members. "That would conclude the programme of this visit to Poland," said Szczerski.

He added that this format is still to be confirmed by both presidents.

During his visit to Warsaw, Trump will be accompanied by his wife Melania.

Russian delegation

Szczerski was also asked by the journalists about Russian delegation at the September 1 observances.

"We've used a contemporary key in planning the September 1 commemorations. The president has decided to invite EU, NATO and Eastern Partnership member-states. Russia does not belong to any of the three organisations, and therefore, it won't participate in these observances," he replied.

"We expect a high-rank Russian delegation at the January's commemorations of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp liberation. We hope that we will be able to host such Russian delegation, just as we used to during previous anniversaries," he added.
