Firefighters from Włocławek (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship) rescued a little deer which fell into an unsecured manhole. Luckily, the animal did not sustain any injuries. It has been placed under the care of animal shelter crew.
Firefighters from Włocławek received a call on Sunday (June 19) regarding a deer in distress.
"We received a call from a random passerby who had been nearby Kazimierza Wielkiego Avenue regarding a trapped animal," said Włocławe Fire Service press officer Mariusz Bladoszewski.
One fire unit was dispatched to the scene.
Bladoszewski added that the rescue operation had been carried out smoothly. The firefighters were joined at the scene by city guard officers and an animal shelter employee.
"We managed to get the deer out of the unsecured manhole without any problems. The animal has been placed in the careful hands of the animal shelter," the spokesman said.
