In the second round of presidential election, mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski could count on 47 percent of votes, while incumbent president Andrzej Duda - 46 percent. The number of undecided voters is shrinking and it appears to be working in favour of Civic Coalition candidate, according to the latest poll conducted by Kantar for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24. The voter turnout, the poll suggests, would be at 66 percent.
Kantar pollster has carried out a survey for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24 regarding the second round of presidential election. The respondents have been asked the following question: "Which candidate would you vote for in the II round of presidential election?".
Most of those asked said they would vote for mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski - 47 percent - which is 2,3 percentage points more than in the poll conducted right after the first round of the ballot. President Andrzej Duda would secure 46 percent of votes, which more by 0,6 percentage points compared to June 28 poll.
The asnwer "don't know" was picked by 7 percent of those asked. This is 2,9 pp less than in the previous poll by Kantar. The phone survey by Kantar for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24 was conducted on July 2-3 on a nationwide, representative sample of 1000 adults.
Poll after the first round
On Sunday, June 28, right after the first round of presidential election, Kantar carried out a survey for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24, asking respondents who they would vote for in the second round run-off between Andrzej Duda and Rafał Trzaskowski. The results showed 45,4 percent in favour of the current president, and 44,7 percent declaring support for Warsaw mayor. That same survey also showed 9,9 undecided respondents.
