During Thursday's meeting of Civic Platform's leaders and heads of regional structures of the party, the last electoral campaign and the results of EU elections have been discussed - the deputy chairman of the party Tomasz Siemoniak told Polish Press Agency (PAP).
"The main topic of the meeting was a post-electoral check-up, region by region," Siemoniak told PAP. According to him, at the meeting a lot of focus was directed at the summary of the campaign and analysis of the election results. "No conclusions have been drawn today," he added. Siemoniak didn't exlude the possibility of further meetings with the heads of the regional structures. He stressed that meetings in this format have been held after each and every election. He also added that in the upcoming weeks the party will work on a timetable of events before the parliamentary elections.
In the election to the European Parliament, the ruling Law and Justice party has won 45,38 percent of votes, European Coalition - 38,47 percent, Wiosna (Spring) - 6,06 percent, Confederation - 4,55 percent, Kukiz '15 - 3,69 percent and Left Together - 1,24 percent.
Law and Justice secured 27 seats in Brussels, European Coalition - 22 and Wiosna - 3.
The European Coalition was comprised of the following parties: Civic Platform, Polish People's Party, Modern Party, Democratic Left Alliance and the Greens. Civic Platform candidates have won 14 seats out of the 22, Democratic Left Alliance - 5 and Polish People's Party - 3.
