During the weekend of miracles, or the 2021 finale of the Noble Gift charity, more than 17,000 families have received material support. "We see tears and emotion when people receive their packages," a volunteer says.
On Saturday and Sunday, volunteers delivered boxes with various goods from generous donators to families in need of support. This year, support was sent to more than 17,000 families, which is 3,000 more than last year - says organiser of the charity Joanna Sadzik.
"We see tears and emotion when people receive their packages. I think that every volunteer really acknowledges being part of Noble Gift," one of the volunteers told TVN24. "It's always nice when someone visits, when someone remembers," said a recipient of support package.
Sadzik underscored that the weekend of miracles does not end the Noble Gift. "As a matter of fact for many families it's only the beginning. Very often, only after receiving a Noble Gift do families start to believe that there are good people in the world, that the world is not as cruel as it might seem, and that there is a chance for them," she said.
Last year during the Noble Gift finale over 14,000 families from 93 locations received the support.
Noble Gift is one of the largest, most recognizable and effective social schemes in Poland. It was set up in 2001. It implements and develops a system of smart, personalised aid that is unique in the world, thanks to which material and mental support goes to concrete people and families in a difficult situation. Aid in the form of Christmas gifts made by donors responds to the actual needs of the recipients, is an impulse for change for them and motivates them to become independent and take responsibility for their lives.
