Health care, high cost of living, and education-related issues are the three crucial election campaign themes, according to a poll carried out by Kantar for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24. The respondents were asked to say whether, in their opinion, given issues were important and whether they should be debated before the election.
According to the poll, as many as 95% of respondents selected the situation in health care as the most important of the election campaign issues.
The second most important issue was prices spike and high cost of living, with 92% of respondents picking this topic.
Education and the situation in the education system, as well as the levels of taxes were crucial for 90% of those asked.
Among other key issues were: Poland's standing within the European Union (87% of respondents), European funds and money from the National Recovery Plan (also 87%).
According to 86% of those surveyed, the following two issues should be addressed in the campaign: the rule of law, judicial independence, as well as investments in the military and armament.
83% of respondents think that housing is the key issue, whereas 78% selected environment protection, global climate change, and drought.
According to 75% of respondents, social policy issues, such as the 500+ child benefit program or the 13th pension pay-outs, should be discussed in the election campaign.
Citizens' approach towards abortion was picked as crucial by 72% of respondents.
70% of those surveyed claim that the election campaign should focus on the power abuse problems, including the "Villa Plus" scandal.
48% of those asked in the poll think that relations between the citizens and the Church is an important campaign topic.
Only 1% said they saw none of the listed topics as important.
The phone survey was conducted by Kantar on March 14-16, 2023, on a nationwide, representative sample of 1000 people aged 18+.
