Debate on potential lifting of restriction for vaccinated persons and keeping them in place for those unvaccinated has been going on for some time now. "Persons vaccinated against COVID-19 must be given a firm guarantee they won't be placed under any restrictions," Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development, Labour and Technology Jarosław Gowin has said on Twitter. Earlier on, he declared to support Entrepreneurship Council's call for immediate adoption of lockdown protection rules.
Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin wrote on Twitter on Wednesday that "persons vaccinated against COVID-19 must be given a firm guarantee they won't be placed under any restrictions". "Restrictions for unvaccinated do not violate their freedom, but protect freedom of the rest. We must avoid another lockdown at all cost!" - Gowin tweeted.
Fourth wave of coronavirus
On Tuesday, Gowin declared to support the Entrepreneurship Council's call for immediate adoption of regulations that would allow businesses to provide services to vaccinated persons during lockdown.
The council reassures that "majority of business-owners are ready to limit their offer exclusively to vaccinated persons or those having the COVID-19 certificate, and thereby financially participate in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and support the goals of the national vaccination programme". "Interrupting businesses during the fourth wave will cause great damage," they argued.
The call has been undersigned by representatives of nine organisations: National Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs, ABśL, Polish Confederation Lewiatan, Polish Business Roundtable, Employers of Poland, Business Centre Club, Polish Bank Association, Polish Craft Association.
The Government Information Centre said on Wednesday that 33,945,590 people have so far received at least one dose of vaccine 17,116,255 people have been fully vaccinated, which translates into 44.7 percent of the country's population.
