Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki informed on Friday that Poland has signed a contract for a COVID-treatment drug delivery. He added, however, that the European Union still has not approved the already manufactured medicines, and that Poland was waiting for a decision of the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
At a press conference on Friday, Poland's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said the government has signed a contact for a delivery of a COVID-treatment drug.
He added that the European Union still has not approved the said drug, which has been already manufactured. "I hope it happens any day now, any week. Poland signed a contract for these drugs, which still haven't reached the market, and which I hope will save many human lives," Morawiecki said.
The PM also stressed that Poland was waiting for the European Medicines Agency to approve the drug.
He added that, apart from the said drug, the government was ordering already approved and used products, such as remdesivir.
The prime minister also reminded that vaccines were available and encouraged everyone to get vaccinated.
