A woman and an 11-year-old girl were wounded after a masked man fired shots in a school in Brześć Kujawski, central Poland on Monday.
The 18-year-old attacker, a former student of the school who has been undergoing psychiatric treatment, entered the school, throwing small explosives before firing shots at school employees and students, governor of Kuyavian-Pomeranian region, Mikołaj Bogdanowicz said.
The wounded schoolgirl was airlifted to hospital but her condition is stable and her life is not at risk, the governor told reporters.
"We can say that the man committed a terrorist act," Bogdanowicz said, but did not give any more details.
The attacker was taken into custody and police are investigating the incident. The motive for the attack is still unknown.
