Autopsy of a 9-year-old boy, who according to unofficial information is said to have been murdered by his older brother, has been scheduled for Wednesday. The tragedy took place on Tuesday around 1pm in Turek (Greater Poland Voivodeship), after the brothers fought over a computer game.
The spokesperson for the District Prosecutor's Office in Konin Aleksandra Marańda told Polish Press Agency (PAP) only that a 9-year-old died in one of the flats in Osiedle Wyzwolenia in Turek.
"The autopsy of the child has been scheduled for Wednesday. It should clarify the cause of death. It's been scheduled at about noon," the prosecutor said.
According to unofficial information, the alleged perpetartor has been detained at the scene of the tragedy. It's the 19-year-old brother of the victim.
The brothers are said to have fought over a computer game. During the altercation the 19-year-old allegedly stabbed his younger brother several times with a knife, which has been secured by the investigators.
In the moment of the tragic incident, apart from the brothers, their mother and grandmother are believed to have been inside the flat.
According to PAP, the teenager has been transferred to the police remand centre.
Police officers supervised by the prosecutor were working at the scene, securing evidence and determining the circumstances of the incident.
