Heavy storms battered southern Poland on Monday evening bringing with them strong winds, heavy rain and hail.
The wind and hail brought down trees, smashing cars, damaging roofs and blocking roads and railway lines in the latest bout of extreme weather seen in the central European country.
A spokesman of Poland's fire service almost 26,000 households were left without electricity, quoting a government agency, and said fire fighters had responded to more than 1100 reports of damage caused by the storms.
Over recent weeks Poland has alternated between high temperatures and stormy weather. Last week the country recorded its highest-ever June temperature of 38.2 degrees Celsius (100 degrees Fahrenheit).
