European Commission to analyse Poland's response regarding the Vistula Spit

Brussels has questions about the Vistula Spit. The European Commission wants to know how the planned canal will affect the environment. They also reminded that two years ago Poland announced that it would submit an official opinion on the matter. The area belongs to "Natura 2000" that is protected by EU regulations. The Law and Justice politicians hint that there may be more here at play than just environmental concerns. On Wednesday, the European Commission announced that they received Poland's response regarding the Vistula Spit and that it will be given due consideration.
