We are preparing a schedule of easing restriction for May. It should be announced most likely on Wednesday, possibly Thursday - Health Minister Adam Niedzielski said on Monday. He added that apart from education, many other sectors would be reopened. Deputy PM Jarosław Gowin said Poland's economy should fully reopen by the end of May.
"At the moment we're not discussing differentiated reopening of public services, such as restaurants for vaccinated and unvaccinated people. What we're preparing is a very detailed schedule of restriction easing for May. This schedule will be announced most likely on Wednesday, possibly Thursday. Apart from education, in May we can expect plenty of sectors to return to functioning, those we've all missed so much" - the health minister told a press conference on Monday.
Earlier that day, Prime Minister's top aide Michał Dworczyk said the Government Crisis Management Unit would convene at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. "There the decisions would be taken. Depending on their final form, including this (restriction easing) schedule, the decisions will be presented on Wednesday" - he added.
"The government will discuss reopening of hotels in the coming days. I'm in favour of reopening sectors under sanitary regime. Polish economy should be fully reopened by the end of May" - said Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin.
Gowin also said that in terms of easing of restrictions "business owners are ready for immediate action", while "the government should make decisions this week, literally in the coming days".
