Starting from 2020, the minimum wage in Poland will amount to 2.600 zlotys, and we've declared 3.000 zlotys from January 2021 - Poland's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki informed on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the government was discussing an ordinance regarding the minimum remuneration for work and the minimum hourly pay in 2020.

At a news conference in Łowicz, after the government meeting, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki informed that starting January 1, 2020, the minimum wage would increase to 2.600 zlotys.

"The minimum wage, starting next year, will amount to 2.600 zlotys, and from January 1, 2021, we've declared 3.000 zlotys, provided the voters will have entrusted our cabinet to continue its mission, which we will find out soon," said Morawiecki.

At a convention on Saturday, Law and Justice promised that the minimum wage would increase to 2.600 zlotys from January 1, 2020, to 3.000 by the end of 2020, and to 4.000 by the end of 2023.

Currently, the minimum wage in Poland is 2.250 zlotys and the minimum hourly pay is 14.70 zlotys.
