The Ministry of Health informed on Thursday about 837 new coronavirus infections and the death of 16 infected people. This is the fourth-highest daily number of infections since the start of the pandemic. So far, Poland has reported 76,571 infections and 2,253 deaths.

Poland's health ministry reported the fourth-highest daily number of coronavirus infections on Thursday - 837 cases.

The highest number so far (903 cases) has been reported on August 21, the second-highest (900) was reported the following day on August 22, and the third-highest (887) - on August 27.

The ministry also informed about the death of 16 infected people, aged 51 to 89. Most of them suffered from co-occurring medical conditions, said the ministry.

Since the start of the pandemic, Poland has reported a total of 76,571 coronavirus infections and 2,253 deaths.
