Poland's health ministry informed on Monday about further 619 coronavirus infection cases and the death of two people. Since the start of the pandemic, Poland has reported 52,410 infection and 1809 deaths. Within the last two weeks, seven daily infection records have been reported. The highest number so far - 843 cases - was reported on Saturday, August 8.
Although quite high, Monday's number is smaller when compared to the last weekend, when Poland reported seventh daily infection record in two weeks - 843 people got infected on Saturday. On Sunday, another 624 cases were reported.
In total, since the start of the pandemic, Poland has reported 52,410 infection cases, and 1809 deaths.
The ministry also released its daily "coronavirus report", according to which:
- 1929 "COVID-19" beds in hospitals were being occupied
- 71 ventilators were being used
- 104,167 people have been placed in quarantine
- 9,566 people have been placed under epidemiological supervision
- 36,877 people have recovered.
