The motion regarding the the cabinet reshuffle has been sent to President Andrzej Duda. The ceremony of appointing new ministers will be held on Tuesday, 10.30 am in the Presidential Palace - the spokesperson for the government Joanna Kopcińska told Polish Press Agency (PAP) on Monday.
The spokesperson for President Andrzej Duda, Błażej Spychalski told PAP that before 10.30 on Tuesday, the president will call off the ministers that are to leave Mateusz Morawiecki's cabinet. This will not be a public ceremony, he added.
The reshuffle is partially necessary due to the fact that five current ministers have won seats in the European Parliament in the recent EU election in May.
Law and Justice (PiS) top politicians underscored throughout last week that the reshuffle should be rather broad, however, none of them revealed any particular names of the new ministers.
Among the cabinet members who soon will leave for Brussels to become MEPs are: former PM and current deputy PM Beata Szydło, the minister of the interior Joachim Brudziński, labour and social affairs minister Elżbieta Rafalska, education minister Anna Zalewska, as well as minister for humanitarian aid Beata Kempa.
