Police officers in Wałbrzych detained a 26-year-old man who was wanted by the European Arrest Warrant (EAW) for, among other things, robbing a jewellery store in Germany. He was stopped for jaywalking.

The 26-year-old was detained by traffic division officers, after being stopped for jaywalking.

"After checking the man's details in police database, it turned out that the 26-year-old resident of Wałbrzych is wanted by the Interpol and the European Arrest Warrant (EAW) was issued after him," said Chief Commissioner Magdalena Korościk from Wałbrzych Police.

The resident of Wałbrzych is suspected of committing crimes in Germany, including robbing jewellery store, causing total damages worth nearly 140.000 euro.
