The prosecution will address the court with a request for temporary arrest of Adrian K. who was charged on Monday with attempted murder of a young woman after raping her - the spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Toruń, Andrzej Kukawski informed on Monday. The tragic incident took place in Chełmża.
The suspect held the woman captive in an abandoned building at the rail station premises. He tortured, savagely beat her and with extreme cruelty forced her to have sex with him. He inflicted multiple blows on the victim, causing severe damage to her health.
"We want the suspect to be arrested for three months. We will file the request in the Regional Court in Toruń on Tuesday morning. The legal basis is the risk of deceit and the severe punishment the suspect is facing," prosecutor Kukawski added. Furthermore, the charges also pertain to the suspect's relapse.
"In 2008, Adrian K. was sentenced for severe bodily harm and participation in a brawl with the use of a dangerous instrument," Kukawski said.
