Eight firefighter brigades were extinguishing a fire that broke out on the roof the town hall in Racibórz (Silesian Voivodeship). We received the first information on our Kontakt 24 platform.
Aneta Golębiowska, press officer Voivodeship Fire Service in Katowice has confirmed the notification about a fire on Batorego street.
"At 2.30 pm, firefighters received a notification about a fire in the town hall in Racibórz. The roof of the building was in flames. Eight brigades are on the scene and two are on their way," said the press officer.
Fire under control
The fire contained about 240 square metres of the rooftop surface. After 3 pm, firefighters informed that they had the fire under control. "We have no information about anyone being injured. It's too early to dicsuss what was the cause of the fire," Aneta Gołębiowska told TVN24.
Before the fire service arrival, all employees and clients were evacuated from the building.
