Nurseries and kindergartens will be reopened, and open-air sports will be allowed again from Monday, April 19 on, Health Minister Adam Niedzielski announced on Wednesday. All the other restrictions will remain in place until April 25, while hotels and hostels will be closed until May 3.

Poland reported 803 coronavirus-related deaths on Wednesday, the second highest figure since start of pandemic, data from the health ministry showed, as the country of 38 million people grapples with the third wave of the pandemic.
According to Wednesday's report, there were 21,283 newly confirmed infections within the last 24 hours.
"In recent days we've seen a decrease in the number of daily COVID cases, although it is slightly going up at the moment. The peak of the third wave is now moving through hospitals" - Niedzielski said.
The health minister also said Poland would follow the guidance of the European Medicines Agency regarding the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
