"A strong, well-armed, and united Poland, focused on the issue of sovereignty and security. This is our common national task," Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on National Independence Day.
The head of the Polish government wrote that independence "is not given to anyone for free or forever" and urged that this should be remembered "not only on the day of its celebration, November 11."
"A strong, well-armed, and united Poland, focused on the issue of sovereignty and security, is our common national task," stated Donald Tusk.
For health reasons, the Prime Minister did not participate in the official celebrations of National Independence Day.
The Government Information Centre announced on Sunday that he "underwent a scheduled medical procedure." According to the statement, the Prime Minister is expected to return to his duties on Wednesday.
