Tragic accident in Poznań. 8-year-old dies after being hit by a tram

In Poznań on Hetmańska street, about 8 pm on Wednesday, an 8-year-old boy was hit by a tram.

As person on duty from Poznań city transport operator said, a line number 1 tram that was running along Hetmańska street towards Franowo has fatally hit an 8-year-old boy at a crossing with Dmowskiego street.

According to initial police findings, the boy was running across the street on a crosswalk, but on a red light.

Despite resuscitation that lasted for over 40 minutes, paramedics couldn't save the child's life.
