A 19-year-old woman drove her straight in front of a speeding express train going from Warsaw to Wrocław. The accident took place at an unguarded railway crossing in Ociąż, Ostrów Wielkopolski county (Greater Poland voivodeship). "The woman sustained very serious injuries and was taken to a hospital," said the spokesperson of the hospital in Ostrów, Adam Stangret.

"Passenger opel astra collided with passenger train going from Warsaw to Wrocław," the spokesman for Ostrów Police, Krzysztof Kula, said.
The car was driven by a 19-year-old resident of Ostrów county, who sustained heavy injuries and was taken to Ostrów hospital. "She in a very serious condition," said Adam Stangret from the hospital in Ostrów.
According to the police, the car was pushed by the train for several dozen metres. The woman got stucked inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by the firefighters. The Intercity train "Orzeszkowa" from Warsaw to Wrocław had 140 passengers on board. Three coaches were sent to Ociąż to take the train passengers to Wrocław.
The police were working to detemine the exact cause and circumstances of the accident.
