Despite tremendous controversies, the work on a bill regarding Polish banks continues. The issue has become toxic after it was revealed that the head of the financial supervision authority made a highly dubious offer to the owner of one of the banks. An investigation is already underway but due to the unearthed scandal and because of what is going in parliament, the opposition is all but accusing the government of trying to make it easier for the state to takeover private banks in Poland.
