On Thursday before noon, during a special ceremony at the Presidential Palace, President Andrzej Duda designated Mateusz Morawiecki as prime minister. Shortly after, presidential spokesperson informed that Duda will appoint Morawiecki's cabinet on Friday at 14.30.
"The election results were clear, the United Right has won the qualified majority in the Sejm, and it's natural that the current PM is entrusted once more to form a cabinet," President Andrzej Duda said on Thursday during the ceremony of appointing Mateusz Morawiecki as prime minister.
The President added that he hoped for a fruitful cooperation with Mateusz Morawiecki. "We share an absolutely common vision of Poland and priorities that should be accomplished," Duda stressed.
"I hope that the first four years had been a certain run-up, and the next four will be a growth leap," said Mateusz Morawiecki after being reappointed PM.
He also thanked President Duda for trust put in him, as well as for being granted the chance to continue the mission of "improving living standards of Poles".
President's spokesman Błażej Spychalski informed on Thursday afternoon that Andrzej Duda will appoint Mateusz Morawiecki's cabinet on Friday at 14.30. The ceremony will be held in the Presidential palace in Warsaw.
Prime Minister Morawiecki presented his new cabinet on Friday (November 8). It will be composed of 20 ministries. New departments will be created, such as state assets supervision, funds management and climate office. The Ministry of Energy is to be liquidated.
