A man has attacked two people in one of the parishes in the Warsaw's district of Wola. According to the police, one of the persons is dead. First information and pictures were sent to us via Kontakt24 platform.
The whole situation took place inside the seat of the St. Augustine Parish on Nowolipki street in Warsaw.
"According to initial reports, an aggressive man entered the parish and attacked a man who was already inside. Apart from the two, inside was also the priest who rushed to help the attacked man and got injured himself," said Sylwester Marczak from Warsaw Police.
He added that the police arrived at the scene after three minutes.
Marczak confirmed that the attacked man is dead and the priest's wounded.
"Officers incapacitated the attacker, who shortly after lost consciousness. He was resuscitated and taken to a hospital with police assistance," Marczak said.
Police and prosecutor are collecting evidence at the scene.
