The majority of respondents in the latest Kantar poll for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24 think that the policy pursued by the Law and Justice (PiS) government is moving Poland towards the exit from the European Union. 32 percent of those asked said that PiS actions are making Poland's position in the EU stronger.
The European Commission has accused Poland of violating the EU law on multiple occasions. Brussels has been withholding almost 36 billion euro of post-pandemic recovery funds from Poland due to Warsaw's lack of progress on judicial reforms.
In the latest Kantar poll for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24, more than half of respondents - 54 percent - think that the policy pursued by the ruling PiS party is moving Poland out of the European Union.
32 percent think that PiS actions are strengthening Poland's position in the EU.
The answer "don't know/hard to say" was chosen by 14 percent of those surveyed.
The telephone survey was carried out by Kantar on October 2-4 on a nationwide, representative sample of 1,500 people aged 18+.
