Tuesday is the ninth day of the general teachers' strike. The negotiations between the governement and the trade unions have ended without an agreement several times. On the first day of the protest, on the 8th of April, only one trade union (Solidarity) struck a deal with the government. Who is first and foremost responsible for the lack of agreement? We have asked people what they think in the latest poll conducted over the phone by Kantar for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24.
During the phone interview carried out by Kantar, the respondents have been asked: "who is responsible for the lack of agreement between the teachers and the government?".
The majority - 36 percent of respondents have said: "both sides equally". A little less people - 34 percent - have said that, first and foremost, it's the government's responsibility. Sixteen (16) percent have said that the teachers are to blame.
Six (6) percent have said that "neither side" is responsible, whereas 8 percent have picked "don't know/hard to say" option.
The survey conducted by Kantar for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24 has been carried out between 15 and 16 of April 2019 on a nationwide, representative sample of mobile and landline numbers of people above the age of 18. The sample amounted to 1004 people.
