Law and Justice (PiS) chairman Jarosław Kaczyński ordered the party MPs not to participate in lobby events or meetings that could be presumed as such, with the exception of events meeting the criteria outlined in the lobbying act.
Law and Justice chairman published his decision on Twitter.
"Failure to act in line with the order shall be treated as a serious breach of the party statute," Jarosław Kaczyński decided.
Private radio RMF FM informed on Thursday that the head of PiS parliamentary club Ryszard Terlecki hosted an unofficial meeting in the Sejm, between PiS politicians and representatives of Philip Morris Poland tobacco company.
Terlecki told RMF FM that "there was an idea to hold a meeting on nicotine use, apparently healthier than smoking cigarettes".
The are no works at the moment in the Sejm regarding nicotine products; there was no "lobbying" and the meeting portrayed in the media was on the harmfulness of the new tobacco products," Terlecki wrote in a statement sent to Polish Press Agency (PAP).
