"A lie of all lies, an awful manipulation," the PM responds to the allegations that her government is pushing for Polexit. In her interview for “Sieci” weekly, Beata Szydło is trying to convince the readers that PO is ready to act against the Polish interest if ordered so by Germany.
"If PO was to rule again, it would be unable to protect the Polish interest," the Prime Minister stated in her interview for the weekly. "Should weakening Poland be in the interest of Germany, PO will do everything that is requested of it. It will shut the 500 plus program and increase the country’s budget deficit,"
The PM also stated that making the Poles believe that her government is pushing for Polexit is "a lie of all lies, an awful manipulation".
"I hope it was just an incident"
In her interview, Szydło also talked about the reforms of the judiciary. In July, President Duda vetoed the Law on the Supreme Court and the amendment to the Law on National Council of the Judiciary. At the same time, he announced that he would put forward his own legislative proposal in that regard.
"I hope it was just an incident," Szydło commented on the two presidential vetoes.
"I also hope that the judiciary reforms the President announced will in fact reform this area and will not only be an attempt to introduce superficial changes that will actually not change anything," she stated. In the PM’s opinion, "Poland needs significant reforms concerning the judiciary, the media and the intelligence agency".
"At least four more years are needed"
"If we manage to introduce them, it will be possible to state, that the four-year plan has been implemented. Which does not mean that it will be established by then. At least four more years are needed for the reforms to be fully implemented, for Poland to move even further ," she stressed.
