"I also thought it would be a piece of cake for me, but after 10 days of staying home sick I've ended up here" - singer Andrzej Piaseczny said in a video he recorded in a hospital on Wednesday. The artists has been undergoing oxygen therapy.

The singer published a video on Instagram on Wednesday in which he cautions against the risks of the coronavirus.

"Dear all, I'd rather not show myself at all in such a state, but I know there are still plenty of people out there who don't care what could happen to us" - said Mr Piaseczny struggling to catch a breath. He added that he had been staying at home for 10 days, but his condition had gotten so bad he ended up in a hospital.

"I sincerely apologise to all who I was supposed to see at the concerts, but it will all return soon. Stay healthy and please observe the safety and hygiene rules" - he said and also thanked to all people taking care of him "with passion and dedication".

Andrzej Piaseczny celebrated his 50th birthday in January.
