Emilia worked with high officials from the ministry of justice, the new KRS (National Council of the Judiciary), new Supreme Court justices, and was highly praised by the former deputy justice minister Łukasz Piebiak for spreading hate against the justice minister's critics in the internet - "Gazeta Wyborcza" wrote on Monday. In a conversation with the daily newspaper, the internet hater named "Emi" or "Emilia" has given names of judges who, in her opinion, were members of "Kasta" group responsible for the smear campaign.
"Gazeta Wyborcza" daily published an interview with internet hater "Emilia".
According to the daily, Emi's cooperation with the Ministry of Justice officials is said to have lasted for nearly three years, until mid-2018.
"For the internet hate aimed at the critics of the ministry's head and the prosecutor general Zbigniew Ziobro, she (Emilia) received many praises from the deputy minister Łukasz Piebiak. She was convinced that "the top", namely Ziobro had approved of her activity," "Gazeta Wyborcza" wrote.
Who was in "Kasta" group?
In the late 2016, when PiS announced changes in the judiciary, a group called "Kasta" is said to have been created on the WhatsApp communicator. The name of the group was allegedly given by on of thirteen judges said to have been its members. "Gazeta Wyborcza" wrote that the group had consisted of people whose careers accelerated along with the PiS' "good change".
Due to her occupation, Emilia is said to have cooperated with "Kasta". In the conversation with "Gazeta Wyborcza" published on Monday, she listed the judges who, in her opinion, had been members of the group.
Those names are: Konrad Wytrykowski, Przemysław Radzik, Maciej Mitera, Michał Lasota, Jakub Iwaniec, Arkadiusz Cichocki, Jarosław Dudzicz and Łukasz Piebiak, who is said to have been referred to as "the Chieftain". Also Emilia's husband, Tomasz, is believed to have been a member of the group.
Lawsuit threats
In an interview for "Fakty" TVN reporter, judge Radzik denied the allegations of him being a member of "Kasta". He filed a request in the court to secure his claim, expecting it to lead to TVN and "Gazeta Wyborcza" being banned from publishing information about his alleged membership in a group hating judges. He announced that he had wanted to sue the companies owning the news outlets.
Also Bartosz Lewandowski, the plenipotentiary of some of the judges allegedly belongin to "Kasta", has argued that the group had never existed. He and eight other lawyers have announced lawsuits against Emilia and media outlets publishing information about "Kasta", demanding apologies and retribution totalling 10 million zlotys.
