Members of a U.N. climate change group staged a performance to denounce the rise of "macho fascism" in international politics at the U.N. Climate Conference in Katowice.
About a dozen other women took part in the performance, which portrayed women rising up against "the man", who ripped up signs that said "right to food" and "right to peace". At one point the antagonist was shown to have a moustache.
Women also said the negotiators at COP24 need to stop the politics and take action against climate change.
They were part of a group called Women and Gender Constituency, an umbrella group that encompasses other organisations and a stakeholder of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), according to the group's website.
Its role is to ensure women's rights are heard in all aspects of the UNFCCC framework, the website said.
