The prosecution's complaint against Civic Platform MP Stanisław Gawłowski's temporary bail release was rejected by the court on Wednesday.
"As long as Poland is a democratic state and the courts are independent, then I'm confident about the outcome of my case," said Stanisław Gawłowski commenting the court's decision.
Asked whether he was nervous before the court's session, Gawłowski said that "he wouldn't wish such an ordeal to anyone".
The Court of Appeals in Szczecin upheld the verdict by the district court that on 11 July released Mr Gawłowski on a 500.000 zloty bail. The money was paid the next day by his family.
Stanisław Gawłowski was in lock-up since mid-April. Three out of the five charges he has heard are connected with the so-called land-development scandal in Szczecin.
He claims that he is innocent and fell a victim of political enemies.
"I demand from the prosecution to release all the documents regarding my case; there's absolutely nothing in those documents; I've become a victim of political manouvering," said Civic Platform's MP Stanisław Gawłowski after being released on bail, earlier in July.
