A car rolled over on the S5 expressway in Kościan (Greater Poland Voivodeship). According to the police, a cat running freely inside the vehicle caused the accident by blocking the driver's view. The man who drove the car and a female passenger were both injured. The animal ran away.
The accident happened on Tuesday around 10:30 a.m. at the S5 expressway in Kościan. "We received a call about a red Toyota that rolled over on the road," Kościan Police spokesman Mariusz Wojciechowski said.
Cat blocked the driver's view
At the scene of the accident, the police determined its cause. It turned out that there was a cat in car, which jumped in front of the driver and blocked his view. "The driver tried to move cat and that's when the vehicle careened onto the hard shoulder and rolled over," the spokesman said.
The 73-year-old male driver and a female passengers were both injured as a result. "At first they were qualified to be taken to a hospital, but the doctors decided they could helped at the scene," Wojciechowski added.
Seen the cat? Call
After the accident the cat ran away. His owners are now looking for it. They say that their pet has white fur with heart-shaped patches on the sides, and is very close to their hearts.
