Korean investments in Poland in the field of high-tech, chemical industry, energy and infrastructure, as well as cybersecurity were the topics of Monday's discussion between Poland's President Andrzej Duda and his South Korean counterpart Moon Jae-in.
"The conversation with the South Korean President pertained to economic cooperation, including Korean investements in Poland in the fields of high-tech, chemical industry, energy and transport infrastructure, as well as commercial exchange, which is in record-breaking condition at the moment," the chief of the President's Chancellery, Krzysztof Szczerski, informed Polish Press Agency (PAP) on Monday.
The discussion took place in New York, before noon local time, and lasted about half an hour. The presidents have come to New York to take part in the 74th United Nations General Assembly.
Szczerski added that the presidents also touched upon the global security problems and military cooperation, with strong emphasis on cybersecurity. The presidential aide stressed that South Korea chairs the cybersecurity working group under the Warsaw Process regarding peace in the Middle East.
"The President of South Korea also expressed interest in Polish economy model which conjoins economic growth with sustainable social development," said the presidential minister.
