The U.S. Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski said during the Congress of Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs on Monday (Sept.25) that American companies "love working in Poland". He added, however, that in order for the Polish-American economic relationship to thrive there has to be "a fair, transparent, and predictable regulatory and legislative environment".
The U.S. Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski gave a speech during the Congress of Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs. He spoke about the Polish-American economic cooperation and American companies investing in Poland.
"I hear from CEOs all the time: American companies love working in Poland, Poles are very industrious," he said.
He added, however that "to keep this booming partnership going, American investors want and need a fair, transparent, and predictable regulatory and legislative environment".
"I’ve come to U.S. Ambassador to Poland from the private sector. I assure you, no business likes to be surprised by regulatory or tax changes. People want predictability in terms of where they invest," Brzezinski added.
"Ensuring a level playing field will attract even more investments – it’s good for business."
Billions of dollars and thousands of jobs
Brzezinski also said that there are over 1,500 American companies operating in Poland. "This has created over 300,000 jobs and it’s led to over 26 billion dollar in investments."
"And I can tell you that there are way more American companies looking at investment opportunities in Poland," the U.S. ambassador added.
