There will be no punishment for ecologists and other activists who were protesting last year against the logging of the Białowieża Forest. The minister of environment said that all lawsuits against the protesters will be withdrawn. Instead, the ministry will invite the ecologists to work together in a new Białowieża expert group. As for now, however, the activists refused the offer as they don’t want to work in a same team with the people who recommended the logging in the first place.
