"They died fighting for dignity, for liberty and for Poland", said President Andrzej Duda during the commemorations of the 75th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Exactly at noon on Thursday, the official ceremony in front of the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes, commenced with the sound of sirens and church bells. The Ambassador of Israel Anna Azari said that her country "today celebrates independence and pays homage to the Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto".
