PSL and Poland 2050 to run together in parliamentary election

Polish People's Party (PSL) and Szymon Hołownia's Poland 2050 will run together in this year's parliamentary election. "Two democratic opposition parties have decided it's time to go the same way and build something many voters have been waiting for," Hołownia said at a press conference on Thursday (April 27). "We do have a plan for Poland. A better one, fair, industrious, prosperous," said PSL leader Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. Civic Platform chief Donald Tusk commented on the two parties' decision.

Remains of "unidentified military object" found in forest near Bydgoszcz

The remains of "an unidentified military object" were found in the north of Poland, in the town of Zamość near Bydgoszcz, the country's Ministry of National Defence said on Twitter on Thursday. The MOD reassued the situation did not threaten the safety of residents. According to unofficial sources quoted by tvn24.pl, the object could have been a missile. Statistics Poland: retail sales in March lower than expected

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Polish President Andrzej Duda on Wednesday (April 19) commemorated 80 years since several hundred Jewish fighters fought back against the liquidation of the Warsaw Ghetto by German occupiers during World War Two. The three presidents took part in the central part of the remembrance day by laying wreaths at the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes in Warsaw.
