Statement by TVN Discovery Group on presidential veto of lex TVN

TVN Discovery Group has issued a statement regarding President Andrzej Duda's veto of the media reform bill, known as lex TVN.

We welcome with respect and delight the decision of Poland's President Andrzej Duda to stand up for media freedom and the viewers' right to choose. By vetoing lex TVN, the President stood up in defence of good relations with the United States.

Many days of concern and uncertainty are behind us. We thank our viewers, all organisations, and people who signed our call and spoke loudly against this bill.
