Professor Witold Modzelewski and former finance minister Jan Vincent Rostowski will be the first to appear before the VAT fraud investigative committee, the head of the committee, Marcin Horała (Law and Justice) informed on Thursday.
The committee convened on Thursday for its second session. The meeting was closed to public, the members were getting acquainted with the regulations regarding classified information.
At a press briefing on Thursday morning in the Sejm, Mr Horała said that already about 10 separate topics the committee would like to examine.
The head of the committee also thinks that tax expert Professor Witold Modzelewski and former finance minister, between 2007 and 2013, Jan Vincent Rostowski should be summoned as first witnesses.
According to Mr Horała, further down the line, the committee should hear the testimony of former justice ministers Zbigniew Ćwiąkalski and Andrzej Czuma, as well as former prosecutor general Andrzej Seremet.
The first witnesses could be summoned already in October, according to the head of the VAT fraud investigative committee.
