Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki dismissed Anna Kornecka as undersecretary of state in the Ministry of Economic Development, Labour and Technology. The decision has met with criticism from her colleagues from the Accord party, as well as opposition politicians.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki decided to dismiss Anna Kornecka from the function of undersecretary of state in the Ministry of Economic Development, Labour and Technology, government spokesperson Piotr Mueller announced on Wednesday. Earlier on he commented on Kornecka's criticism of tax reform solutions proposed by the ruling party in the Polish Deal package.
Anna Kornecka reacted to her dismissal on Twitter: "I entered the government with one goal: to protect Polish entrepreneurs. There's no consent to drastic increase in taxes and payments for them. I don't regret being dismissed for it. I will continue to work for the benefit of those thanks to whom Poland is growing - to work like the whole Accord does.

"Fight in the interest of the middle class and Polish entrepreneurs is Accord's goal regardless of consequences," deputy spokesman Jan Strzeżek said on Twitter. "We want lower and simplified taxes, and not reaching deeper into the pockets of those who build Poland's wealth," he stressed.
