The Senate Pact, an alliance between democratic opposition groupings, has won 66 out of 100 seats in the Senate, the upper house of the Polish parliament. Law and Justice has won the remaining 34 seats.
The Senate Pact 2023 is an electoral alliance among Civic Coalition, Third Way, New Left, and a number of unaffiliated candidates, for the 2023 Polish Senate election.
The accord was agreed on 28 February 2023.
According to the official results published by the National Electoral Commission, Civic Coalition has won 41 seats in the Senate, Third Way - 11 seats, New Left - 9, and 5 unaffiliated candidates backed by the opposition also won one seat each.
It means that the Senate Pact will have 66 seats in the 100-seat upper house of the parliament.
Law and Justice will have 34 senators in the upcoming parliamentary term.
