A resident of Chełm (Lubelskie Voivodeship) kept a pony in his apartment. He told the city guards that he had purchased the animal for his uncle and intended to take it a nearby village soon.
Chełm City Guard dispatch officer received a very unusual call on Jan. 7. According to the caller, a man living in a residential building at Wojsławicka Street kept a horse in his apartment.
"The owner of the flat invited the officers inside and walked the pony out of the other room. He said he bought it for his uncle and had to take the animal to Ochoża (a village near Chełm - edit.)" - said the chief of Chełm City Guard Mariusz Gałęziowski.
Police confirm pony wasn't stolen
The police were called to location and they confirmed the animal was not stolen, and that the resident really bought it earlier on.
"The man has been lectured that the pony cannot stay in the building and told to take it to Ochoża," Mariusz Gałęziowski said.
