Health Ministry on Monday (March 6) informed about 8,245 newly confirmed coronavirus cases and 60 COVID-related deaths. According the ministry data, over 78 percent of ventilators dedicated to COVID patients were in use.
On Monday and Tuesday Poland reported a relatively low number of infections - 9,902 and 8,245 respectively - compared to the record spike of 35,251 on April 1.
The Masovian province, where capital city Warsaw is located, reported 1,792 cases on Tuesday - the highest number in Poland.
The ministry also informed on Tuesday about the death of 60 COVID patients and that nearly 45,000 coronavirus tests were carried out within the last 24 hours.
Furthermore, as of April 6, over 78 percent of ventilators and 74 percent of beds dedicated to COVID patients have been in use.
The highest daily spike in infections so far - 35,251 - has been recorded on April 1.
The highest daily number of deaths so far - 674 - has been reported on November 25, 2020.
Since the start of the pandemic, Poland has reported 2,454,709 coronavirus cases, of which 55,065 turned out to be fatal.
